Description
The Opal RFX is a robust external 35 metre PIR intruder detector, designed to detect and transmit reliable event-based triggers to the weatherproof RFX-3 Receiver. Maximum communication range 150 metres using 433MHz wireless transmission.
Requires 2 x AAA batteries, not supplied.
Security Installation Tips:
- Only use Alkaline batteries in the detectors, they won’t work with Lithium batteries. 2x AAAs needed for each detector.
- Recommended installation heights are 1.5, 3 and 6 meters.
- The three outputs on the receiver can be used to integrate a CCTV system, as well as controlling the security lights, they can be configured N/O or N/C.
- Low Battery and RF loss terminals on board the receiver will notify you when something needs addressing.
- Radio distance from receiver to detectors is 150 meters line of sight.
- Unless it is a controlled environment, use a pulse setting of 2 on the detectors – this will increase stability.
